SOPIB Award 2013 for “The Correlation Analysis between Endogenous Hormone Contents and Cotton Fibre Quality in Different Level of Potassium Nutrients”
SOPIB Award 2013 goes to Prof. Dr. Deying Ma for “The Correlation Analysis between Endogenous Hormone Contents and Cotton Fibre Quality in Different Level of Potassium Nutrients”
As representative of the SOPIB Board, Michel Marchand, Tessenderlo Technical Manager Fertilizers presented the SOPIB Award 2013 to Dr Deying Ma for her outstanding work in the field of the influence of the application of sulphate of potash on the yield and quality of cotton.
Prof. Dr. Deying Ma is the Head of Entomology Department, College of Agronomy, Xinjiang Agricultural University, Urumqi, Xinjiang, P.R. of China. In recent years, she has carried out several trial programs focusing on the effects of the application of potash fertilizers on the yield and quality of grape, cotton and tomato. She succeeded in demonstrating that the use of sulphate of potash has a significantly positive impact on both parameters. Prof. Dr. Deying Ma has thus made an important contribution to increasing productivity.
The award ceremony took place during the XVII International Plant Nutrition Congress in Istanbul on Wednesday August 21, 2013. Prof. Andreas Gransee, Head of K+S KALI GmbH Applied Research and Advisory Service Agro presented SOPIB objectives and activities before prize remittance.
SOPIB is a non-profit organisation which supports scientific research into sulphate of potash globally. It cooperates with leading researchers who investigate the effect of sulphate of potash in greenhouse and field trials.
